PANCH POKHARI TREK (5 DAYS)

5 Days

The Panch Pokhari Trek is a wilderness trekking experience located very close to Kathmandu but remains largely untouched, with very few teahouses along the route. The main attraction of the trek is the five lakes at the top, which hold great religious significance for Hindus who visit annually as a pilgrimage to take a dip in the holy waters. The trek is situated in Sindupalchowk District in eastern Nepal, within the Langtang National Park.

Panch Pokhari Lakes are located at an altitude of about 4100 meters above sea level, lying to the north of the Kathmandu Valley. From here, you can see mountains like Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Madiya, and Purbi Chhyachu. Despite its proximity to the Kathmandu Valley, this is a remote trek. Although the area contains many high-altitude wetlands, it is not listed among the Ramsar sites of Nepal.
